Artist’s Statement
I grew up in Macon, GA in an environment of interior design. My mother sold floor coverings from home so I was always surrounded by her client’s coordinating fabrics in different colors and textures.
Drawing on this experience, I developed my unique style while studying fiber arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
My work is a combination of silkscreened contemporary designs and vintage botanical images embellished with cotton / metallic thread and oil pastel. The color palettes are driven by interior design trends so I am fortunate to have an ever changing source of inspiration.
